Dedh Ishqiya

Cast       :   Madhuri Dixit, Arshad Warsi, Naseeruddin Shah, Huma Qureshi
Director :   Abhishek Chaubey

Rare is a Bollywood release that one genuinely looks forward to. Dedh Ishqiya, for sure, is one such atypical film, and certainly not for its capricious title alone.

On account of several other worthy reasons, not the least of which is the presence in the cast of the still-incandescent Madhuri Dixit, it has got to be one of this year’s most anticipated releases. Dedh Ishqiya measures up on most counts.

Co-writer and director Abhishek Chaubey delivers a delightfully droll thriller set in an upcountry feudal milieu where adorable rogues and unfettered tricksters have a field day.

In fact,Dedh Ishqiya is in many respects appreciably more enthralling than Ishqiya.

Thematically, the follow-up casts its net far wider and comes up with striking insights into the flaws and foibles of people who haven’t lost their flair for the flashy despite their lives having hitting the skids.

The screenplay is laced with acidic wit, the comic touches are subtly sly, and the on-screen performances are marvellously modulated.

Dedh Ishqiya entertains, but does so in a manner that does not trifle with the intelligence of the audience.

In other words, here is an exceptional film that does not have to negotiate the kind of facile crowd-pleasing narrative formulations that most Bollywood flicks must necessarily wade through in order to get to the Rs 200-crore mark.

Dedh Ishqiya might not get there, but it is a triumph of measured craftsmanship and storytelling finesse.

Shored up by producer Vishal Bhardwaj’s razor-sharp dialogues and unusual musical score, Dedh Ishqiya looks, sounds and feels like nothing that the Mumbai movie industry has produced in a while.

It is more an Urdu film than a Hindi one, with a majority of the characters speaking lines in a language and with the kind of mellifluence that have gone out of Mumbai cinema.

Much of the credit for the look and texture of the film must obviously go to both cinematographer Setu and the production designer duo of Subrata Chakrabarty and Amit Ray.

Working primarily with natural sources of light, Setu composes some truly remarkable images whose glow lingers long after they have played themselves out.

The quality of the writing and the sharpness of the editing (A Sreekar Prasad), too, deserve an equally large measure of praise. Each neatly constructed sequence leads into the next flawlessly and without leaving any creases behind.

So, despite its two-and-a-half-hour runtime, Dedh Ishqiya does not ever appear to flag.
Small-time thieves Khalujaan Iftikhar Hussain (Naseeruddin Shah) and Babban (Arshad Warsi) con a jewellery store owner and flee with an expensive necklace.

In flight, Khalu and Babban are separated. The latter ends up in a pit, with local strongman Mushtaq (Salman Shahid) and his men all but ready to bump him off.

But Babban talks his way out of trouble and goes in search of Khalujaan, who, the younger man has reason to believe, has pulled a fast one on him.

The latter, now in the guise of a poetry-spouting nawab, walks into the swayamvar of the widowed Begum Para, the ruler of Mahmudabad (Madhuri Dixit).

The lady has decided to remarry the best versifier in town and everyone is out to make an impression on her.

Even bigger trouble brews for Khalu and Babban as a smarmy politician, Jaan Mohammad (Vijay Raaz), throws his hat in the ring.

He goes to the extent of abducting a poet named Nur Mohammad Italvi (his nom de plume is derived from his Italian mom) so that he has a steady supply of lines to electrify the Begum with.

But in Mahmudabad, nothing is what it seems, and the Begum and her lady-in-waiting Munira (Huma Qureshi) have a few tricks up their pretty sleeves.

Dedh Ishqiya is filled with many delights: the repeated banter between Khalu and Babban, Khalu’s efforts to woo the Begum and bring her out of her self-imposed exile from dance, Babban’s typically brazen attempts to win Munira over, and of course the dangerous cat-and-mouse game that they all play with the unrelenting Jaan Mohammad.

All of this works wonderfully well because the acting is of a consistently high order. The two spirited women in this male-dominated landscape play second fiddle to none and get their own back with ease.

If it is difficult to take one’s eyes off the screen when Madhuri is on it, it is no less a joy to watch Huma Qureshi effortlessly matching strides with the veteran, move for move.
Naseeruddin Shah captures the essence of the worldly wise Khalujaan with the kind of acuity that only an actor of his proven calibre could have.

Arshad Warsi, as always, is a livewire who injects full-on fizz into the proceedings without breaking into a sweat.

The director also extracts outstanding performances from the supporting cast.

Vijay Raaz as the villain who is loath to take no for an answer, Manoj Pahwa as the poet in captivity who never tires of flaunting his Italian origins and Salman Shahid as the eccentric gang lord are first-rate.

Notwithstanding the title, there are no half measures in Dedh Ishqiya.

DHOOM 3

Film         :  Dhoom 3
Director  :  Vijay Krishna Acharya
Cast        :  Aamir Khan, Abhishek Bachchan, Katrina Kaif and Uday Chopra

When the writer of the first two films of a successful franchise takes the director’s chair for a third shot at more of the same that is exactly what one gets: more of the same.

This time around, the bikes, babes and brawls formula is dished out even more liberally than before.

So, for the most part, Dhoom: 3 is a high-voltage action flick that relies squarely on known methods of the genre.

Actually, familiarity of this kind isn’t such a bad thing. Since the audience knows what is coming and does not have too many unsettling surprises sprung at them, acceptability is that much easier.

Despite being overlong (the runtime is 172 minutes) and a tad laden-footed at times, Dhoom: 3 stays true enough to its avowed intent to be passably engaging.

Writer-director Vijay Krishna Acharya, who scripted Dhoom and Dhoom 2, mounts this one on a scale that is no less unapologetically lavish.

He pulls off the implausible stunt sequences with a striking degree of flair – and a lot of obvious help from the CGI department.

Had the director invested as much energy on developing the characters beyond superficial levels and investing the dramatic situations with more depth than what one encounters in standard revenge dramas and cops-and-robbers capers, the third installment might have towered above the first two.

A lot of time in the first 50 minutes or so of Dhoom: 3 is wasted on the protracted ‘entry’ scenes that are apportioned to the principal members of the cast. The bigger the star, the longer is the prelude.

Aamir Khan, needless to say, takes precedence over everyone (and everything) else in the film, including occasionally the script.

From the word go, he gets to ‘perform’ an array gravity-defying acts and motorcycle stunts that are difficult to describe.

What’s more, Dhoom: 3 has the services of a full-fledged tap choreographer so that the star of the show can go beyond the bikes and biceps act and also do a Fred Astaire sans a Ginger Rogers. But since it is Aamir, it is all tip-top.

Because he moves from a scowl on the face to an occasional sparkle in the eyes and back to a stoic, deadpan countenance with effortless ease, these longish sequences do not run completely out of steam even when they overstay their welcome.

Katrina Kaif, too, gets more than her share of an eye-popping opening burst.
It comes in the form of a hyper-dance sequence in which she starts off in a modest dungaree, discards pieces of clothing one by one as the act heats up and eventually strips down to a sensuously skimpy outfit while Aamir’s suitably impressed circus owner watches utterly transfixed.

But the film could definitely have done without the gratuitous opening scenes involving Abhishek Bachchan and Uday Chopra. We all know what tough cop Jai Dixit and his skirt-chasing sidekick Ali Akbar are all about. Who would have needed another peep into their run and chase routine?

First up, the duo takes on a bunch of Mumbai goons led by a man who is modelled on a Tamil potboiler baddie, first on an auto-rickshaw and then, you’ve guessed it, on a souped-up motorbike.

They are then deployed in faraway Chicago to stop a super-thief, Sahir (Aamir Khan), who has one particular bank on his radar.

This bloke is no ordinary anti-hero. He raids the bank’s key branches and triggers a shower of greenbacks before making good his escape.

He is a magician and circus performer who pulls the wool over the eyes of the most hard-nosed bankers and the toughest Chicago cops. So the Yankees need an Indian policemen and his bumbling aide to nab him.

He has learnt the ropes from his deceased dad, Iqbal (Jackie Shroff in a cameo), whose loan defaults put paid to his dream of keeping The Great Indian Circus in business.

The head honcho of the Western Bank of Chicago intones: “I am a banker. Everyone hates bankers.” He does not dare add: no one more so than the wily Sahir Khan.

Dhoom: 3 is fun while it lasts, but it might not leave the viewer with the sense of having watched a film that is truly unique.

But watch it all the same for Aamir Khan and the hi-jinks.

Trust And Forgiveness

I don't know about Girls or Women's mentality about Trust in one relationship but I am a Boy and as per my view men's mentality about trust in any relationship is Orthodox.

Actually the problem is that we don't know how to Forgive someone for their mistakes.

In our Indian culture we respect women and we think that women are goddess incarnate and also in our holy books there is no Vamp. we always want to see a liberal facet in women.

In past there was so many reasons for that women sacrificed and lived under the men's thumbs like family responsibility , social fear, lack of self confidence and total dependency on men. But now things have changed and there are so many avenues opened for women. Due to the freedom to live free women want to fulfill their happiness, their desires which was sacrificed from women in past. And as per my view this is a good move and also this is everybody's birth right to live the way he or she want.

But the problem is we, the men who always think we are superior than women, are not accepting the change and we want to treat women like we did in the past.

Let's come to main topic trust and forgiveness. As per my view we can say the attribute of trust is for men and that of forgiveness is for women. Because men always trust easily and women always forgive.

But the point is that if a committed man cheats his girlfriend and after sometime when he realize that this was all wrong and he goes to his girlfriend and accepts everything truthfully I bet his girlfriend is going to forgive him and in future she will never complain of his past mistakes.

then why we men are unable to do this. Because our own ego does not allow us to do so, our ego that ordered us to put women under own thumbs and treated her inferior.

So at last I want to say that if women want change and if they are able to change the social barrio then we must help them and try to encourage them because this is important for betterment of life for both men and women.

                                                                               Mrs. Kamdar (Dipti Naval)

Inkaar a movie directed by Sudhir Mishra is a very sensitive and romantic movie. The theme of movie is based on a caseof sexual harassment .But nobody knows exactly that there any one sexualy harassed or not. Rahul Verma, the CEO of an ad company meets with a girl named Maya in a business party and he offers her a job in his company. They come closer to each other and Maya falls in love with Rahul. Maya gets a higher position in Rahul’s company. After sometimes both gets some misunderstanding for each other. A thought that Rahul don’t love me comes in Maya’s mind and she starts making distance from Rahul.
Other side Rahul feels very bad because today what is Maya is all because of Rahul and she ignored him after that. He gave her a chance in ad company and Maya got a name, fame all because of Rahul and she starts fired the employ who requited by Rahul.
At that situation Rahul stars showing his men attitude and at every point he pinches Maya by comments. And Maya thinks that this is only because he wants to demean her. Maya files a case of sexual harassment against Rahul. Mrs. Kamdar who is a chairman of social welfare grants to listen and decide that the claim against Rahul Verma is right or not.
Both sides present their own claim and this is a basic ground of movie shown in three day’s committee’s meeting listen to Rahul and Maya. Between all there are some boring parties seen and office meetings.
At last the result is very interesting because the committee feel that both side’s point is right and they are unable to find final result. Maya decides that she will go to Supreme Court with that issue but suddenly she knows that Rahul also loves her and after some arguments between Rahul and Maya, Rahul decides to leave office and city both after a letter for all officemate.
But this is Bollywood my friends, one another twist comes and Maya also leaves the office and movie shows a happy ending.
Sudhir mishra showed very well the combination of emotions and romance. This will be entertaining for a person who loves to watch romantic movies. Some office drama and parties seen will be trying to bore you but the chemistry of Arjun Rampal and Chitrangdna Singh kept u alive.

Jab Thak Hai Jaan

Hey gyes ,,,

Have you seen JAB THAK HAI JAAN ,

A movie directed by YASH CHOPRA and written and produced by ADITYA CHOPRA under their production banner YASH RAJ FILMS. The film features SHAHRUKH KHAN, KATRINA KAIF and ANUSKHA SHARMA in lead roles.

A movie who shows us a romantic face of Shahrukh khan after DON 2. Actually the role of Samar Aanand , a main character in the movie was only written for a romantic cum angry young actor and after spending a long time in bollywood with so many characters, Shahrukh is looking perfect in this character.
The movie have two decades show. In the first decade shahrukh plays a musician and also he works in a restaurant as a part time waiter in London .

The starting point of movie is the second heroine of the movie Anuska Sharma who is playing a discovery channel filmmaker got a dairy of Samar Anand ,a bomb disposal squad in Indian army and she aware us about the past life of Samar Anand. And according to dairy Samar anand meets Katrina kaif named meera and due to some circumstances Samar makes a deal with meera that he’ll teach meera how to sing and in return of  he’ll get a English class from meera.

We know very well that love is blind and both Samar and Meera fall in love to each others. But it is bollywood my friend. There creates a emosional situation and meera promises to god that she’ll never meet Samar in whole life and she rejects the proposal of marriage.
After that Samar returns to India and start a fresh life in Indian army as a bomb disposal squad. Here he meets Akira Rai and again start typical bollywood story.

In the whole movie Shahukh and Anuskha trying to give perfect but as always Katrina looks a baby doll. The story of movie also looks as a week point.

The shooting place is so attractive and romantic. And the most strong point of movie is the music of A. R. Rahman.

As per my point of view Jab Thak Hai Jaan is perfect for SRK fans’ and the lovers who love to see romance in real life. It is the last movie directed by Yas Raj before his death on 21 October 2012.
